This is a remarkable piece for any Rolling Stones fan—a signed scrapbook page featuring the original lineup of the band. The signatures include Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Brian Jones, Bill Wyman, and Charlie Watts, with most of them signing next to their respective pictures. Notably, Brian Jones has signed at the bottom, perhaps indicating the space he felt his signature required.
Brian Jones, who left the band in 1969 due to struggles with alcohol and drugs, tragically passed away less than a month after his dismissal, drowning in the swimming pool at his home in Cotchford Farm, East Sussex. This makes the presence of his signature, alongside those of his bandmates, particularly poignant.
To have all these Rolling Stones signatures on one page from their first year as a band, 1962, is extremely rare and would be an incredible addition to any Stones collection. The dimensions of the page are 10 inches by 10 inches, and the signatures are strong and bold. The scrapbook page itself shows some foxing at the edges, and the right border bears remnants of the blue from which it was adhered to the scrapbook. Additionally, there is a picture of Ringo Starr and what appears to be George Harrison at the bottom, although the picture’s surface has been torn.
Included with this item is a James Spence Authentication (JSA) Letter of Authenticity, ensuring its provenance and value. Don’t miss the opportunity to own this exceptional piece of rock history!
