Phenomenal Los Angeles Angels center fielder Mike Trout burst upon the MLB scene in 2011 with a combination of power and speed few have ever seen. He won the 2012 American League Rookie of the Year and finished 2nd in AL MVP voting. In 2013, he again finished runner-up for MVP and earned his 2nd straight Silver Slugger, leading the league in runs (109) and walks (110). It was only a matter of time before he was named Most Valuable Player, and that came in his third full season in 2014 when he blasted 36 home runs and drove in 111 runs. Featured here are Trout's game-worn Nike signature model turf shoes from his 2014 MVP season, each one signed and inscribed "14 G/U" on the toes in black marker. The black, red, and white Nike Air Max MVP Elite footwear have red laces and are appropriately sized 11.5 with "TROUT" stamped in red on each heel. "PROMO SAMPLE" on the interior tagging signifies they are player-issued and not for public consumption. "SEASON SU13" on the interior Nike tagging denotes they were made in 2013, but they are clearly 2014 game-worn based on Trout's inscription and the dozens of style matches available on Getty images. Both shoes display solid game use inside and out. Pieces of turf are stuck to the bottoms! Without question, this is a fabulous pair of game-worn shoes from a season Trout … and fans … will always remember.
