Offered is a Detroit Tigers game used road jersey worn by Miguel Cabrera during a visit to Fenway Park. On August 1, 2012, the Boston Red Sox hosted Detroit, but soon regretted it as the Tigers broke the game open in the 5th inning when Cabrera (followed by Prince Fielder) hit back-to-back homers to give them a 6-1 lead. Cabrera’s blast cleared the billboards atop the Green Monster and landed in the parking lot. Cabrera captured AL MVP honors in 2012 and broke a 45-year drought by becoming the first Triple Crown winner since Carl Yastrzemski in 1967. Miggy batted .330 with 44 HR and 129 RBI. Not only did Cabrera wear this jersey during that remarkable game, he later signed it and added “Triple Crown MVP Season” to his name. In our opinion this item appears to show characteristics of game use. In addition, this jersey has been photo-matched and authenticated by MLB.
