Presented is a rare and unique game used lid from the Comeback Kid himself, John Elway. This helmet is said to have been originally sourced from the former Denver Broncos equipment manager. This solid royal blue M155 shell has proper and accurate facemask/clips, interior padding, "Bronco" logo decals, orange and white dual color center striping. There are distinct features on this unique Riddell helmet that can be seen in game photos including the red dot on the facemask, the bulky leather front padding with hand cut sides and the center hole just below the "Riddell" on the front bumper. The original leather jaw pads show great use and are intact while the helmet bears a stamp that reads "H3" under the right jaw pad indicating a 1983 manufacturing date. This helmet was presented to us as game used and compares well to examples from the era but we were unable to photo match the helmet to the 1983 NFL Season.
