This Houston Astros home jersey was worn by right fielder George Springer during the game on April 16, 2016, at Minute Maid Park. In the first inning, Springer blasted a two-run home run off 2nd Home run of the season off of Detroit Tigers pitcher Justin Verlander. This was homerun number one of the season for Springer. In our opinion they appear to show characteristics of game use. The jersey is signed on both sides by Springer, and is inscribed “2 Run Moon Shot 4-16-2016”. The jersey is MLB Authenticated and is accompanied by two COAs from JSA. MLB Holo# JB764124. JSA Cert. #’s WP131328, WP131327. The Astros selected Springer in the first round of the 2011 MLB Draft. He had been named a First Team All-American while playing baseball at the University of Connecticut.
