Presented is a Louisville Slugger model P72 Derek Jeter game used bat utilized by the future Hall of Famer in the New York Yankees’ World Series championship season of 1999. Jeter has also signed the war club in silver paint pen. Bat Grade PSA GU 10! In our opinion this item appears to show characteristics of game use, including tons of white leather scuffs and bat contact marks visible all across its black barrel, as well as ball stitch marks, cleat marks, and an impression from a weighed batting donut, as well as heavy pine tar on the handle — all showing this was a well-used weapon in Jeter’s arsenal throughout the regular season. Jeter led the AL in hits in 1999 with 219, while finishing second in the league in batting average (.349) and runs scored (134). As the 11th team captain in Bronx Bomber history, Jeter is credited as a central figure in the Yankees’ success of the late 1990s and early 2000s.. In addition to being one of the team’s biggest stars, he’s also the Yankees’ all-time career leader in hits (3,465), doubles (544), games played (2,747), stolen bases (358), times on base (4,716), plate appearances (12,602), and at bats (11,195). His accolades include 14 All-Star selections, five Gold Glove Awards, five Silver Slugger Awards, two Hank Aaron Awards, and 2009 recipient of the Roberto Clemente Award.
