This helmet shows tremendous wear and evidence of being worn over multiple seasons, with face clips dating back to 1989 and a reconditioning sticker indicating use prior to the 1991 season and then the 1992 Pro Bowl that followed. Our expert opinion is that the helmet was worn by Sanders on several occasions over multiple seasons, as the internal padding photo matches to the 1990 NFL season, the helmet displays the 1991 Mike Utley decal on the rear, and the helmet photo matches to the 1992 Pro Bowl.
