This exceptional 8 x 10 original NASA color publicity photograph is signed and inscribed by famed astronaut Neil Armstrong, the first human being to walk on the Moon. Using a blue fiber-tip marker, Armstrong has written, "To Noah - Long Life & Happiness - Neil Armstrong."

On July 20, 1969, Armstrong and Apollo 11 Lunar Module pilot Buzz Aldrin made history by becoming the first people to land on the Moon. The following day, they spent two and a half hours outside the Lunar Module Eagle while Michael Collins remained in lunar orbit aboard the Apollo Command Module Columbia. As Armstrong stepped onto the lunar surface, he famously declared, "That's one small step for [a] man, one giant leap for mankind," a moment broadcast live to an estimated 530 million viewers worldwide. The Apollo 11 mission represented a significant achievement in the Space Race, fulfilling President John F. Kennedy’s 1961 goal of landing a man on the Moon and safely returning him to Earth before the decade's end. Among his many honors, Armstrong was inducted into the National Aviation Hall of Fame in 1979 and, along with his fellow crewmates, received the Congressional Gold Medal in 2009.

The photograph is in very good condition and comes with a James Spence Authentication (JSA) certificate, ensuring its provenance. This signed and inscribed piece of history is a must-have for any space enthusiast or collector.
