This photo-matched Adrian Peterson Minnesota Vikings purple home jersey was worn on November 7, 2013 as the Vikings topped the Washington Redskins by a final of 34-to-27 at Mall of America Field. All numbers, logos, patches, and nameplate appear to be proper and accurate, and in our opinion the jersey shows signs of appropriate game use. The jersey is unwashed and has been signed by the running back on the front “8” in black Sharpie. Peterson scored two touchdowns in the Minnesota victory, including an 18-yard rush in the first quarter to give the Vikings’ its first lead of the game. The jersey is accompanied by a photo-match LOA (Grade: 10) and a JSA LOA.
Peterson faced a personal tragedy during the 2013 campaign with the death of his 2-year-old son. Despite the incident, he turned in the 5th highest rushing yardage total for the season with 1,266 yards and 10 touchdowns in just 14 games. Peterson has been the NFL’s premier running back over the past decade and undoubtedly will retire as one of the best rushers in the history of the sport.
