The original Yankee Stadium would close after the 2008 season and before closing MLB awarded the stadium the 2008 All-Star Game. In 2009 the Yankees would open the new stadium a few blocks away and all the fans were hoping that history would repeat itself with the Yankees winning the 2009 World Series just like the 1923 Yankees did when the original stadium opened. . in 1923 the Yankees would defeat the NY Giants 4-2 and as history would repeat the 2009 Yankees would win the World Series 4-2 defeating the Philadelphia Phillies. Staying with current tradition this amazing looking ring has the inter winding NY on top in diamonds with 4 diamonds outlining the base paths. This ring is 14K and what makes it so amazing is it is made in white gold and in total it has 90 plus diamonds. One shank has the name ENCARNACION in raised relief above the Yankees Top Hat logo, with the word “TRADITION”. The other shank has “WORLD CHAMPIONS 2009 UNITY” with an image of the New Yankee Stadium. Inside the ring on one side has the markings “YANKEE STADIUM INAUGURAL SEASON 2009” with inaugural season logo, with “BALFOUR 14K” stamped within. The ring weighs 45 grams. Sonder Encarnacion was signed by the Seattle Mariners in 1995. He played for the DSL Mariners from 1996-1998, as an infielder. He coached for DSL Yankees teams from 2004-2012 and managed the DSL Yankees 2 in 2014-2015, DSL Yankees 1 in 2016, and DSL Yankees in 2017. Ring comes with box inside has some peeling and is a size 11.5.
