Offered is a 2001 Memphis Maniax white game worn jersey used by running back Rashaan Salaam during his stint with the short-lived XFL. Salaam wore this jersey the entire season — the one and only season of the league’s existence — where he was the fourth-most prolific rusher in the league with 528 yards. In our opinion this item appears to show characteristics of game use. According to our consignor, the jersey was obtained straight from Salaam, the 1994 Heisman Trophy winner. That same year, he was a unanimous All-American and was a recipient of the Walter Camp, Doak Walker, and Jim Brown awards. He was the youngest player in NFL history to rush for 1000 yards at 21 years, 77 days.
