This game used batting helmet dates back to Clemente's greatest seasons. Clemente won four batting titles, the 1966 MVP, the 1971 World Series MVP, was elected to twelve all-star games and won twelve straight golden glove awards. This helmet displays outstanding game use. The top front of the helmet displays the Pirates "P" logo in felt. The helmet displays a bold "21" written on the inside which was Clemente's number. The "21" was written after the era where the helmet was actually used as described in the MEARS LOA that accompanies the item. A letter of authenticity from ESA is also included.
