When the WHA folded, the Edmonton Oilers merged into the NHL and introduced many fans to a young phenomenon named Wayne Gretzky. Hockey was never the same. Presented is an Edmonton Oilers road jersey bearing “The Great One’s” unmistakeable signature. The jersey is accompanied by a Letter of Authenticity from JSA. Gretzky made the Oilers a virtual instant contender as they built around their star center. In his rookie NHL season in 1979-80, the 18-year-old Gretzky led the NHL in assists for his first of 16 times and points for his first of 11 seasons including eight straight years.
