Presented is an official league Rawlings baseball signed by Satchel Paige with his Best Wishes inscription. Also added is an inscription that reads "Hall of Fame 1971". The ball is accompanied by a full PSA/DNA letter of authenticity.
There likely is not another pitcher who could claim to be the finest to ever toe the rubber with less than 500 innings pitched in the Major Leagues, but Leroy Robert "Satchel" Paige can. Since stats are shoddy or unkept at best for the vast majority of Negro League teams the only way to compare the lanky right to other hurlers is to go off of what his competition and teammates had to say.
