Joe Namath reached legendary status shortly after his promised victory in Super Bowl III came to fruition. Presented is one of his game-worn Jets home jerseys from the mid 1970s (1973-74). The front and back numerals “12” are solid white and sewn on. The same numbers “12” appear in green on the sleeves for television identification.”NAMATH” is sewn on in single color (white) tackle twill and it spans the shoulders on the rear nameplate. The sleeves have classic green plasticized striping and they are custom cuffed (interior side). The style and placement of the tail tagging is from the mid-1970s and is a Champion [size] Large with wash instructions. The jersey also features an authentic crotch piece. It was signed in blue felt tip marker on the back with his #12 and nickname “Willie” added as an inscription. Overall, shows mild wear throughout.
