1992 Jerry Rice Game Worn, Signed San Francisco 49ers Jersey, Gifted to Larry Johnson, MEARS A10. Not only is Jerry Rice considered one of the best wide receivers in history, but he is quite possibly the greatest NFL player at any position. Also widely recognized as one of the most dedicated figures in all of sports, Rice will forever be remembered for his superior conditioning and route running. One of the most reported examples of his unprecedented workout regiments may be "The Hill", a long steep hill that is two and a half miles up. Rice would sprint across the hill literally every day to make sure he maximized his potential on the field, and had the edge against all opponents.
That "edge" was on full display when Rice put on a Superman cape during the 49ers' 1992 season. A remarkable shirt that was given to NBA superstar Larry Johnson, it is signed by Rice on the back sewn-on numeral in bold sharpie ("To Larry Johnson Best Wishes Jerry Rice"). The proper "Wilson [size] 46" and "EO" tags are in the tail, while moderate wear is exhibited throughout with staining under the arms and sleeves. LOA from MEARS, A10.
