A sure-fire first ballot Hall of Famer, New York Yankees shortstop wore this gray Bronx Bombers road jersey on Aug. 7, 2011, as the Yankees took on the rival Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park. It bears the appropriate “NEW YORK” lettering across the chest and has been signed on the back number “2” in silver paint pen. In our opinion this item appears to show characteristics of game use. The jersey and signatures have been authenticated by MLB, Steiner Sports, and JSA.

As the club’s 11th team captain, Jeter is credited as a central figure in the Yankees’ success of the late 1990s and early 2000s, thanks in large part to his hitting, base running, fielding, and leadership. In addition to being one of the team’s biggest stars, he’s also the Yankees’ all-time career leader in hits (3,465), doubles (544), games played (2,747), stolen bases (358), times on base (4,716), plate appearances (12,602), and at bats (11,195). His accolades include 14 All-Star selections, five Gold Glove Awards, five Silver Slugger Awards, two Hank Aaron Awards, and was the 2009 recipient of the Roberto Clemente Award, honors the player who “best exemplifies the game of baseball, sportsmanship, community involvement and the individual’s contribution to his team.” Furthermore, “Mr. November” became the 28th player in baseball history to join the 3,000 Hit Club, via a home run nevertheless, thus becoming the only Yankee to have membership in that group.
